Project Procurement Management

Extend the project management knowledge and applicability to the entire organization’s value chain.

This course's objective is to qualify students in project procurement management embracing the entire project external environment and its influence on the project success and failure variables.

The course will allow the student to distinguish the types of contracts and its applicability, and will also present the professional responsibility aspects and the procurement process itself as a way to increase value, profitability and a way to enhance the project success chances.

Training content

At the end of the course the student will be able to:

  • Use clear criteria that supports the buy or make decision
  • Plan the entire procurement process
  • Understand and apply the mechanisms for proposals assessment
  • Know the different types of contracts, their benefits and risks
  • Insert the ethical and legal criteria in all the supplying process
  • Understand the project manager’s roles in the procurement process
  • Develop a complete and detailed Procurement Request
  • Monitor and inspect contracts in progress
