Hello everybody, welcome to the, Five Minutes Podcast Today. I like to share with you my perception of the concept. A lot of people think that their productivity increases while doing five different Projects at the same time. And I like to propose that all of you reveal this concept, or at least think a little bit more before doing this kind of commitment. Because we usually think that we don't think it's in parallel and do things simultaneously.
It's the reason for productivity, and this is not true. What happens when we start five different Projects, five different things or handle five different aspects that at the same time, it's that when we turn from one task or from one project to another, or we lose productivity because we lose focus, we lose concentration on that specific topic. So we lose the way or the path to success.
We lose this. And until we recover, we lose the time, and now we lose quality. But the problems that we are so anxious about doing things that we want to do, everything that the same time we went to handle, we follow our team usually, or is more team at a lot of different initiatives, because we need to show people that we are productive and we are good, so what they like to offer you as a suggestion, rethink about this new task concept, or try to organize your scandal to your grandma has your project based on their priority and do one thing and then order thing.
So do only one thing at a time, reduce this because, with this, we will increase your focus. You will bring the product to the market with a higher speed, because they, you know, what, what happens if your handling five different Projects look during the project execution, the benefit is zero. The project means cost, stress and problems.
The project will become something valuable when the product is delivered when you reach your final objective, but when you are doing the project, there is only stress problems, challenges, risk. But if we don't want to project and we finish, we, we put all of our efforts into this, and we have done. And then we take another one, place all our files, and you were where we are down.
We'll bring the products up. This is speed. If we think about the theory of constraints from Goldratt, what they talk about and the critical chain aspect, or is this delayed tasks is and finished the project early. What do we mean by that? Because when you put concentration, you make fewer mistakes. You increase the quality; you reduce your risk; you concentrate the teamwork. You will not disburse the team, and those will bring results.
So next time when you are thinking and handling the project portfolio that you need to manage, you are in need to execute, you managed, and the team execute. Think if it's not possible to put all the 14 one thing and do it all of Fort on the next one and do it instead of doing five things and delivering nothing. So this is something that I like to offer you as a suggestion to think that this is not easy.
Life is not easy, but we need to think about that; maybe if we figure out a way of doing that, it will reduce the risk of improving the results. And this is what really matters. I hope you enjoy this podcast. I hope this Podcast make you think and see you next week with another five minutes, be on podcasts.
