Hello, everyone. Welcome to the five minutes BM buck guest. Today. I like to talk about the role of engineering in a project. There is a lot of misunderstanding, all of the role of an engineer at a technical or a civil engineer, electrical engineer in the project manager role in an infrastructure project. So the first thing we need to understand each what is the Role off the Engineering piece of a project. It's basically on the design, on the specifications, making sure that for example, the house, the school, the hospital, whatever that this construction or desk, for example, Carr, or this electrical component will respect the current standards.

The building codes, and it will do the best use of the Engineering technology to put in a place, the results of the project. On the other side, what is the role of the project manager? The project manager has the basic role of delivering the product, taking care of all the administrative work to deliver the projects. They didn't care of the scapula, the budget per cumin for us. This is making sure everything worked together.

Many times there is a misperception or a misunderstanding that one Role is supposed to fulfill others wrote. This is definitely not the case. It's very important that we understand that many times did engineering with a very solid technical background. It would be fantastic if we had someone with a very strong engineering, technical background, then at the same time, all the communication, the leadership, the stress management aspects, that is that right, quiet for a project manager.

So for example, right, I'm a chemical engineer and I am a project manager. So how I can give like strong advice on the technical aspects of a chemical plant, for example, and outside the same time, exercise my leadership abilities to integrate a thousand people team to deliver this new chemical plant. The project manager on the other side is transforming this, translating this into operational tasks that will be handled by the team. And the team may be built with engineers. We are all the technicians. So it's very important that we understand. And there's two aspects. They do not compete, but they worked together.
