Hello, everybody.

Speaker 1 (5s): Welcome to the five minutes BM Podcast Today directly from the North park of Africa from the Cairo Citi in Egypt from the Projects to point Conference that has happened here today or tomorrow, and the day after tomorrow. It's for me a privilege to be a part of the team here, attending this conference. It's a 500 people attending this conference in a very, and the word class Conference they're extremely well prepared and well developed with a huge tactical content.

And for me, he was a great opportunity. I also to spend two days here talking to people, meeting people and to see a, all the way, not only the North part of Africa, but also the middle East in the Arab countries approach to project management. So I was very lucky of having the opportunity to be here, talking to people and meeting two people. Two days ago, I went to the smart village and the smart village, his one place that they built to receive all the headquarters for a telecommunications, it companies, and also financial and banking companies.

They are planning to have the Cairo stock exchange in this smart village. And it's a word class construction. It's really, really very impressive. And this for sure it's show the clear intent, have the edge of the government and education for people to lead an, to be the gateway for Africa and now, so for middle East. So I'm very happy and it's very happy for me also to have the opportunity to share with all of you that are listening.

This, that project management is not in my country is not in your country, but it's a global approach. It's becoming more and more global. We see here, the Projects growing dramatically in a very different part of the planet I'm from Brazil. So it's really an opportunity to see that the perceptions that we have in Brazil, art, the same that we were facing here. So its it's a great opportunity to see five tracks, five tracks, about 50 different presentations for a public from all over me, the least and also Africa and in the idea and telecommunications Strack, and I told to do a lot of friends about an article of the economist magazine, I think one or two months ago about how telecommunications in mobile telecommunications is changing the landscape in Africa.

So we had a lot of opportunity to discuss project management in this field, in it and the convergence of technology. The other track very, very important also in the region is the construction. We don't track. If you were returned back to UAE to do this bye. And there is a huge effort to make better constructions and not only in the design, but in the project management, how we can deliver better Valley with less time and the last money, the third one is healthcare.

So it's really important in all countries to develop the healthcare and to use project management as a tool in this area. The other one is for sure, its a very clear project management practice here in Ireland, gas sector, the oil and gas are for sure is or if it's not the major, its one of the major assets in the middle East and North part of Africa. It's a great opportunity to see how big R this project and all the people who are taking care in look for improvements in the sector, in project management and last but not least the agile and the scrum approaches.

So we had all the track for a job and it's a privilege for me to be again with Jim kind of when Matt, a several months ago in the school from gatoring in some policy, it's a privilege for me to be a year with him again, and to show that everybody can benefit of good project management. So yeah, it's great to see people talking about a PMBOK, a jail and everything together. So how we can deliver value to the clients. So this is a global Congress it's happening here in Egypt but yeah, it's a very global topics like strategy and execution topics that we're looking most of the Congress, a very big concerns about how to tighten to link strategy with good execution and risk management.

Again, as I said, one year ago, management is going up, risk management is becoming more and more part of the car business more and more so the people are much more aware of risk management and they are taking care of that. The Ora is the use of F Mia at Mia to do project management, an outsource when very interesting paper about zero change capita project.

This is the title zero change. So how we can control the scope and also time and cost to lock. It's like to lock down the project. And this is a real challenge for everybody. And we, for your thinking about capital Projects, we are talking about a huge amount of money. So it's really interesting to see this approach. So I'm very happy of having the opportunity to be here last week, I was at the economist and they saw lot of wonderful things about innovation.

And now we are here in the world, class Congress, you talking about how it can transform ideas in good results and the breech to transform good ideas and good results is definitely project management. And this is for all sectors because of that, that I'm so happy of working in this field because we can do things in completely different from constraints to have care to it. And also to government, I had the privilege of having a meeting with the dr.

a minister of state of the administrative develop Bob and we have a one day, we had a wonderful discussion about how the government can implement because a money is something critical for all governments. And time also is very critical. So there is no space for failure and the best way to avoid failure or to reduce your problems. And then Chris, your results is true, good project management. So I'm, I'm living with the, the best impression of not only of the people and the, our people, but also from a how we can see project management globally.
