Hello everybody welcome to the five Minutes BM podcast today. I like to explain two, all of you that are non Brazilian citizen. What happens here in Brazil regarding the power plugs that we have in the walls. Every time that you have an electrical device, you need to plug it in the wall. In the AC adapter in the wall, and Brazil created a new standard for that to using the Brazilian market. And theirs was a long request, too, because up to that time, we didn't have a standard So more than 10 different standards or any kind of plugs.

So we have a problems with safety and problems with electrical was arts, and then the Brazilian community decided to create a new plug in. What is the challenge in the project management aspect on that is that we created a plug that is a Brazilian plug. It's not, and the repeat and a blog. It's not a French blog. It's not a Chinese blog is not a U S plug.

It's a Brazilian plug. It's a completely different for all other plugs, all the other plugs. So, and this amazed me in the project management around that. Y because it shows, so we're thinking in a good way, noble marketplace, we are thinking in the globalization, and then we create something that isn't just in the opposite side of all the trends. So instead of choosing from one technology, we decided to build our own technology.

And this is such a big problem for all users right now, because all current users that are renewing their apartments and, or traveling, or a foreign is traveling to Brazil, they need to adapt their devices to this new fantastic pluck. And one of the things that I, I decided to do before I record this podcast was to study and trying to use the internet and try to find some reasons for that in one really amazes me it's in the strategic area.

So let's remember strategy drives Project. So we create projects to address strategic changes. And one of the things that I read was with this new plug, Brazil will raise competitiveness in the marketplace. Y because the industry in Brazil will sell more than an important products because will have the right connection in all international.

Is that come to Brazilian. We need to cut their current plugs and replace them. This wound grease the course imported products, and we'll raise our competitiveness. I'm a chemical engineer. Okay. And since the time that I was in the school, I learned it. One thing, good products drive better clients, not restriction. I don't know anyone, any single one, please, if you disagree with that, put your comment on this podcast.

I do know in any single customer that makes the choice of buying the product because the plug is write the plug that will be behind the product connected to the wall. This is such an amazing, you should know, really a completely lack of project management understanding. It's a completely like we did the same. In the past one, we decided to create a telephone plug. That is a Brazilian telephone pug.

It's a huge, instead of air J 11, we created a Brazilian blog. And now, thanks God. We decided now to use the current air J 11. And this is such a fantastic thing because we have such great things to do such great projects to do here. And we are struggling to do things that are so basic. Like the books we have for me, this looks like Brazilian market creating a new way of measure time.

And the main reason you will not be anymore 60 seconds, we will create a Brazilian minute with 52 seconds. And the reason for that is that 52 seconds is the time that one soccer player takes from one side, one goal to a, not a goal. This is amazing. Look, everybody is Strang to make sense. There's global standards and not local standards. And we could decide much better.

If we decided to go together with someone, we have great plugs. We have for sure, a very bad plugs, but we have great options in all over the world. We don't need to create one more problem for the international people coming. And now also for our Brazilian I need now and our resilience. We need now to change our plugs, to adapt them to this new standard. So this is something I hate to create podcasts with very strong polemics, but this I cannot be silent on that.

I cannot be salad. This is my responsibility with the society. I cannot keep to talk about this. I hope you enjoy this podcast.
