Hello everybody welcome to the five Minutes BM podcast today. Like to continue the discussion about, is it worth to be project manager last week, I discuss it a lot about the life in the environment and thinks are not easy. And I finish it. My podcast last week, talking that today, I would discuss with you things that we can do to improve our Chang, to make us more powerful, to make things worth an hour.

And then I wrote five links that I want to share with you. The first one is a study and for sure that all of you we'll say, Oh, Hey God, this is obvious to study, but it's so important to understand that we need to know the right techniques, the right tools to apply proper project management. Why I know many, many people that start doing project management and they don't know anything about that.

Think that too, do project management to fill up a bunch of paper, a bunch of documents formalizing you start a completely chaotic and bureaucratic model and does this project management. So we need to understand the tools and techniques that we have to do that. And there's will be through certification credential courses, whatever we need to make us better knowledgeable about project management. The second thing that will help us will make us a stronger is our formation are education is education.

I don't want to confuse you because I told them 30 seconds ago about study education is your formation. I'm a chemical engineer. So become PMP doesn't mean that you need, you can stop your graduation. You can leave your college. No, because your college will help you to understand how business work. If you are studying to become a lawyer, it's important to understand what's going on to open your mind, to open your mind.

And this is the third topic. Be open minded. A lot of people talk about that, but we have our own beliefs. We know what its right. We know what this is wrong. And sometimes this make us so rigid that we do not see opportunites or other Dan, the ones that we are educated to see. So be open minded. We understand that project management, he's an extremely, we opened professional.

You can use it inside the hospital. You can use it in it. You can use it in market in the police, go in environment in the law sector. So you can use it too large, a or an air shuttle, a space shuttle. So look, be open minded to see the opportunity, including the opportunity is inside your organization, because maybe you don't see the value because in your area, you don't see too much support for that because the people do not want to change.

So try to find the other opportunities or the gaps that you can feel with an extremely is marked project management or be open minded for them be prepared. In different line of business. We need to be nimble agile to find those opportunity and to show the Valley of our contribution as product managers. This is very important. The fourth one is flexibility. We need to be flexible to change flexible.

So open minded and flexibility, rigid, rigid to be rigid does not match with a project manager. It's different. It's a soft skill professional. So we need to be flexible. And the last but not least, I'd like to give you the final words, persistent commitment and desire. This three words are so important because things are not easy. That life is not easy. Business.

Life is even worse. We have power. We have politics. We have fights among people. We have the business, environmental, we have the complexity. So we need to be persistent to make things happen. We will not succeed in the first time. And this is surely important to understand, because if we do not understand that we will frustrate ourselves and we will not see the Valley commitment, commitment with the result with the people.

So it's so important to be committed, to understand that thinks will go wrong and do you work to get it, to make things happen and desire. First, you need to think with yourself, does it work? This project management works because if you do not believe, if you do not believe change are professionals change, do something else. But if you really believe that this can make something good, not only for you, but also for your company, then you need to have this desire and this power to make things happen.
