Hello, everybody. Welcome to the five Minutes BM podcast today. I like to talk to you about micro Projects, how we manage Projects when they are really tiny ones, because all the time when I record this podcast, I talk about all we need to do is scaling. We need to do budgeting, but Lexipol is that our project is really, really is smaller. And of course, its not easy for us to define what is his small projects, but let's suppose that you'd define that every project that lasts less than a week can be considered in your organization or a small project or every project that is below $25,000 or every project that the scope is very, very limited, but flexibles that you have 300 have this to manage how you can manage this.

I want to give you two advices. The first one you can create a cluster of Projects or something instead of handling every single project as a single unit, you cluster then into a bigger project or a program. So you cluster them. So you, instead of, for example, preparing a risk register for every single project, you can prepare the risk register for the cluster. So for this two or 300 Projects if they have of course some similarities.

So this will help you to not over burn in terms of work or what you are doing to manage the Projects. So this will simplify, maybe assign this to a single project manager or split them by area's or by location. You can cluster den So. They will be a part of the scope of a bigger program that will manage, okay. In an integrated way, the second approach you can make it's streamlined the PM process. So let's suppose, you know, I do want to cluster them.

They are completely, I have 300 different projects that are not related. I can not cluster them by location, by Valley, by type of project by project manager. It's just impossible. Then the only possible solution you have is to streamline your project management process. It will be extremely painful when hard for you to do a risk register of every single tiny project you have in your organization.

So you need to streamline. So how I can make a very simple risk register, how it can make it very simple scatter or budget. Very, very simple because otherwise the cost and the time you'll be spending, planning and controlling will be by far much, much bigger than the project itself. So you create a control cost that is above the project costs. And this doesn't make any sense because we are putting in place project management process in planning process to help and not to be a brewer cratic stuff that you do every day.

Okay. Just to prove that you have some management over the project. So just simplify you have only digital options and what is really, really important that no matter if the project is a very tiny one or a huge capita project, you need to manage it accordingly. If the problem is, is most used simple tools, lean tools, or if the project is really big and complex than you need to have all your right weapons to be prepared for this fight. So it's very important that you have this understand, but always clustering and the streamline are the basic solutions when your handling micro Projects.
