Hello, everyone. Welcome to the five minutes BM podcast. Today directly from Stanford University In in the us where I am doing a set of training's around project management. In one of the coolest things I learned it here was the Strategic execution. Framework this is a very simple and clear Framework to translate your ideas into operations. This was developed by IPS Learning and the professor Levitt. And this is on the core of the Stanford advanced at project management, the program.

And its a very simple, I will try to explain to you in this audio. So everything is started on the top with the EDA or who are you? So what is this ideation piece? It's a set of three main aspects in the top of everything is a purpose. Why your organization should be exist? Who are you? And just below this, you have the identity and the long ranging tension.

So what is your identity and the identity in your long range, intention will justify your reason for existence just below the identity. You need to understand the context and this is the group nature. The group nature is composed it by two aspects. The first one, your organizational culture that supports your, the second one is your structure. How your organization is a structure in order to address the cultural aspects and in order to support everything you do on the other side, but low, the long range intention, you have the vision and the vision is where are you going?

And it's the splitter in two things are your goals that we'll support your long range intention and the metrics. It's how you can measure that you were close or far away from your goals. So on the left side, you have the nature, all of this environment. And in the order side, you have your goals and metrics. When you combine both, you have the strategy and the strategy is exactly what needs to be, create what needs to be create in order to support this.

And this is the whole concept of engagement. There's a strategy will become your portfolio in your portfolio. We will help you to understand and answer or how will we build it? How then the portfolio turns into programs and projects. This programs and projects on the transition becomes operation. So look in this very simple flow you or coming from the top on the purpose of your existence, up to operations, how to an oldest aspect.

So it's a very simple way of doing the process. So just to remember, you have the purple on the top with an identity and a long ranch intentions. This is your ideation below identity. You have the nature with two boxes, interrelated boxes, culture and structure, underwrite side. You have the vision to support your long range intention. You're our goals and your metrics. Goal's more towards the outcomes and the metrics to support that.

When you combine this to thinks in the middle of your process, you have your strategy in your strategy, combined with your portfolio will address what needs to be created. And then on the synthesis, you have your portfolio translated into programs and projects to answer how we will be built. It will turn that proposed that identity, that goals into the operations and the operations is the last piece and that sustain everything.

It's how will you operate? So it's a very simple and I strongly suggest that to you go to the internet and look and try to understand a little bit more about The Strategic Execution Framework of course, five minutes. It's not enough to explain this to you, but I hope this could give you a quite good understanding of how you can translate your ideas into the reality into the operations.
