Hello everybody Welcome to the five minutes podcast today, I will discuss with you. One topic of that is concerning me a quite a bit. And I have discussed at this with a couple of friends, and I'd like to share with you the real role of the project manager and a project manager is not the profit Secretary it doesn't means that I'm not given value to this, and I'm not diminishing this function, but it's a different role. It's so important to understand that a project manager doesn't have the tasks, the only, or prepare reports, prepare meetings.

Stablish we are a nice PowerPoint stablish and a very nice report. No itch. Not that the real project manager is not to prepare the report, but the site using the report, that data, its to look at the data and make right decisions to turn the Project into a successful result. And a lot of people not understanding this, they think that, okay, I'm exercising my role as a project manager, look, I prepared the set of templates, bare a very good report, beautiful, powerful, colorful.

And then we need to ask them who is it? You'll be making the decision and who we'll be making the decision will be the project manager because of that, that lack to make this connection. A lot of peoples' working only preparing that day. And I heard a lot of comments saying, Oh, and to implement a project management, but it's becoming so bureaucratic. Sure. It's becoming bureaucratic because if you produce a huge amount of data that does not support any kind of decision, it's pointless in spite of this too, you do.

So the real Valley of a good project manager is to receive good information, right? Trustable information coming from the project management office. For example, with disinformation in the hand, add in leadership ability to the decision making, to the proper decision making and seek for power twins, less the Project results than we can make the right decisions. It says exactly like one coat.

What does a coach do? He receives information from previous games. He or she received information from the medical department. He or she received information from competitors and the coat will compile all this information plus experience plus a good understanding and we will make the right decisions and the right decisions will lead the team. Two, the victory and there's is what a project manager does.

He goes the field fake information, but this is information is turning too something that will support the decision. If he's not able to turn this into good decisions, it's such a bureaucratic thing that works completely pointless. It will not add any value. The real value of project management it's drive. This change is drive it's to help people to achieve better business results and not only prepare reports and not only bring paper, not only prepare colorful PowerPoint it's above and beyond that, it's not only prepared flow chart.

If the flow chart does not reflect the decision making process, this flowchart will serve only to put in the frame and put on the wall as a decoration piece. So the patient on that program manager is not Project secretary. We receive information, but the good project manager use leadership, soft skills, human resource skills to drive things in a successful way.

And the result will be seen where in the results that the Project will bring. So this is what really matters. This is what really matters. We use everything as a backstage, as a wallpaper to the show and the show is really title to the results that we bring to our companies. I hope you enjoy at this podcast.
